Who we are
IMC stands for International Marketmakers Combination. It was founded in 1989 by two traders working on the floor of the Amsterdam Equity Options Exchange, when trading was still executed manually. IMC was among the first to spot the importance of technology and innovation in the evolution of market making, and invested early—helping shape the future of trading. Today we are 2,100+ people across 10 global offices, active on 120+ exchanges and all major asset classes. Our collaborative, high-performance culture sets us apart: IMCers turn our competitive instincts outward, with traders, engineers, and researchers working side by side on real problems.
