Our Story
Founded in 2017 by three traders, Maverick Derivatives is a proprietary trading firm with headquarters in Amsterdam and a second office in Singapore. We specialise in U.S. equity options, crypto options, and Delta One products, trading primarily on U.S. markets and various crypto exchanges. As a proprietary trading firm, we trade for our own account, utilising in-house developed trading software in conjunction with a hands-on, data-driven approach.
What makes Maverick different is our open and casual culture. We have a flat organisational structure where ideas matter more than titles, and where everyone, from junior traders to the founders, works closely together. Traders at Maverick don’t just follow instructions; they take ownership early on and are involved in designing and implementing strategies while learning from experienced colleagues. We believe in a pragmatic approach to trading: staying focused, working collaboratively, and always looking for ways to improve performance. Technology plays a key role in everything we do. By developing our trading software in-house, we can quickly adapt to changing markets and provide our traders with the tools they need to succeed. This combination of technology and trader-driven strategies helps us stay competitive in a fast-moving industry.

Opportunities for Students
We’re especially excited about our Summer Trading Internship 2026, a program that combines hands-on project work with training sessions, workshops led by experienced traders, and fun activities. During the internship, students will conduct data analysis on financial markets, support trading strategy development, and work closely with our trading teams on real projects. Those who excel will be invited to continue as full-time Graduate Traders after the program, making this a true first step towards a trading career.
